Christy and Cameron met, like most modern couples do, on Hinge in 2019 while they were both living in Nashville, TN. In a moment of lighthearted banter, Cameron joked that he should go ahead and purchase an engagement ring, to which Christy responded that she preferred an oval diamond.

The first date included drinks at a speakeasy, the second live music at a jazz club, and on the third date they went sailing and watched the Fourth of July fireworks. It was on the sail back in, in the rain, that they shared their first kiss.

It was that summer of 2019 that Cameron and Christy created a bucket list of adventures they wanted to do together. Waterfall hikes, concerts, and mini roadtrips were a few of the items they ticked off over the course of the summer. After a month of adventures, Cameron took Christy to the Natchez bridge at sunset with a picnic and asked her to be his girlfriend. It was an easy yes.

Fast forward to 2022, when Cameron decided to pursue getting his captain's license, which meant moving to a coastal city. After some deliberation, they decided on Charleston, and fell in love with the coastal charm. They both found jobs, and a house, and in 2023 they adopted their dog Finn. In 2024, they took the trip of a lifetime, a 10 day roadtrip across Ireland. It was on a beach on the westernmost coast of Ireland, that Cameron asked Christy to marry him, got down on one knee, and proposed. With an oval diamond.

That was on October 4th, 2024, and exactly one year later, on October 4th, 2025, they will embark on their greatest adventure yet.
